Na-Ha-Thai's Kitchen
9.9Naruemon Verspagen opened Na Ha Thai's Kitchen in 2014 after building a following at the Guelph Farmer's Market. The menu carries a 'From Northern Thailand' section (Khao Soi, Hung Lay curry, Northern Larb-Muang), house-made curry pastes across five varieties, and a salted-crab papaya salad with fermented tiny crab. Named for her daughter Nahathai.
MAKIN Thai Food
9.9A south Guelph Thai counter where the Pad Thai is built on tamarind and is the kitchen's most-ordered dish across every channel, the staff favourite is Khao Soi, and dishes like Khao Rad Kra Pow run full Thai heat when asked. Vegan-friendly with serious portions; honest mixed signal on celiac safety. Sisters Chalisa and Sara Tripoonsin opened it in February 2024 after eleven years of driving to Toronto for authentic Thai food.
Taste With Andy
9.9Chan Thon Andy Phoung opened Taste With Andy at the end of 2020. The menu pulls from his family's Khmer cooking — Cambodian, the heritage thread — and runs across Thai and Vietnamese traditions. Mom's Chicken Curry, Khmer Burger weekly special, a thirteen-dollar jar of Andy's own super chili paste sold standalone. Downtown Guelph, 45 Cork Street East.
Hanami Izakaya
9.4Hanami Izakaya is a Guelph sushi-night regular with a house-named roll, a local signature roll, sushi pizza, hot appetizers, bento boxes, and enough Thai noodle and wok dishes to make the menu broader than a standard roll list.
Eat Thai
9.2Eat Thai is downtown Guelph's nearly-decade-long Thai sit-down on Macdonell Street, with a menu that reaches past the standards — venue-designated Khao Soi from Northern Thailand, Northeastern Thai Larb, the full curry colour wheel, and a house-named Cashew Nut Eat Thai wok dish that tells you whose kitchen you're in.
Thai Villa
9.1A sixteen-year family Thai kitchen on Woolwich Street, in a plaza unit with a fast takeout window and a menu that quietly carries Northern Thai Khao Soi, Thai-Chinese Yen Ta Fo and Suki-Yaki, and central-Thai Mee-Kati alongside the workhorse Pad Thai, curries, and stir-fries. Closed Mondays; weekday lunch combos through Friday at 2:30. The small room with the larger menu.
Blue Chopstix
8.7Family-owned Blue Chopstix brings Hakka Chinese and Thai cooking to a Silvercreek plaza, with halal meat, vegetarian range, bold saucy mains, and a weekday pickup lunch special.
Red Papaya Thai & Grill
8.7Red Papaya Thai & Grill is downtown Guelph's twenty-plus-year Thai-Vietnamese kitchen and live-show room, owner-operated by Jill Tieu inside the Old Quebec Street Shoppes. Combo dinners for two through six, vegan-friendly across most of the menu, and a dining room that doubles as a live stage with its own PA and house band running comedy, open mics, and drag programming on the same nights it serves pad thai.
Lemongrass Thai Cuisine
8.2A thirty-two-year Bangkok-style Thai restaurant on Edinburgh Road South in Guelph, founded by chef Jun Pintana — a native Thai who started Lemongrass as a personal-chef catering service in 1994. Six chef-flagged signature dishes on the catering menu (Golden Noodle is "Jun's signature dish"), a decade-long best-seller Pad Thai on the restaurant floor, a Bangkok Curries section with a substrate-anchored Massaman, and a parallel vegan menu with full plant-based citizenship. The catering arm still runs alongside the restaurant.
