Level Resto Lounge

Two things run under one roof on Cork Street East, and Level Resto Lounge keeps both going at once. A kitchen sends out fried chicken sandwiches and lobster pasta; a lounge keeps the shisha lit and the lights low until two in the morning, every night of the week. The doubling is the point. This is a downtown Guelph place built to hold a whole evening rather than sit inside one, where a table can work through a full dinner and then stay for the part of the night that has nothing to do with the menu.

The food refuses to pick a single lane, and it does so on purpose. The Nashville Fried Chicken Sandwich is the most direct read on the kitchen — crisp chicken, pickle, mayo, and Nashville hot sauce, with fries or chips on the side — and the Lobster Fettuccine is its richer counterweight, lobster meat folded through a demi-cream sauce. Between those two anchors sits a menu that crosses continents without apology. Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala carry the curry side; a Shawarma Platter arrives with basmati, pickles, garlic sauce, and fattoush. Dessert lands on Moroccan Donuts under cinnamon sugar, peanut caramel, and a chocolate drizzle, with churros as the simpler finish.
