Report a Listing or Error
Restaurantica is committed to accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement. If you've found something wrong on the Site — a listing error, a factual mistake in our coverage, a broken link, a technical problem, or an accessibility barrier — we want to know about it.
Are you the owner or manager of the restaurant? The fastest way to keep your information accurate is to Claim Your Restaurant and submit updates directly. See also Submit Menu or Update Info.
Report an Issue
Pick the restaurant, tell us what's wrong, and add any detail that helps us fix it. We take every report seriously and aim to investigate and resolve issues promptly.
Report a listing or error
Spotted something wrong? Tell us what to fix and we'll take a look.
What helps us investigate
The more you can include in your description, the faster we can resolve it:
- Page URL — the web address of the page where you found the issue
- What's wrong, and what it should be — if you know the correct information
- A source (optional) — a link to a reliable source, or the restaurant's own website, helps us verify quickly
- For technical or display issues — a screenshot, plus your browser (e.g., Chrome, Safari) and device (e.g., desktop, iPhone) so we can reproduce the problem
You don't need all of this — anything you can provide is helpful.
What to Report
Listing Errors
- Incorrect details — wrong address, phone number, website, hours, or price range
- Wrong cuisine or category — a restaurant listed under the wrong type of food or style
- Menu or specials out of date — items, prices, or specials that no longer reflect the restaurant
- Operating status — a restaurant that has permanently closed, temporarily closed, moved, reopened, or changed name or ownership
- Duplicate listings — the same restaurant appearing more than once
- Wrong location or neighbourhood — a restaurant placed in the wrong area or on the map
Content Errors
- Factual inaccuracies — incorrect details about a restaurant, dish, chef, owner, or its history
- Outdated information — coverage that no longer reflects the restaurant as it is today
- Misleading or unclear language — statements that could be misinterpreted or that don't accurately represent a place
- Missing context — important details that should be included
- Spelling and grammar errors — while minor, we appreciate reports of any typos or language issues
Technical Issues
- Broken links — links that lead to error pages, incorrect destinations, or pages that no longer exist
- Display problems — pages that don't render correctly, images that fail to load, or layout issues on specific devices or browsers
- Performance issues — pages that load unusually slowly or features that are unresponsive
- Mobile issues — content that is difficult to read, navigate, or interact with on mobile devices
Accessibility Barriers
If you're experiencing an accessibility barrier (such as content that doesn't work with your screen reader or insufficient colour contrast), you can report it using the form above or on our dedicated Accessibility Support page, which provides more detailed guidance for accessibility reports.
What Happens After You Report
- Acknowledgement — We aim to acknowledge your report within two business days.
- Investigation — Our editorial or technical team reviews the reported issue. For content and listing errors, we verify the correct information against reliable sources. For technical issues, we attempt to reproduce the problem.
- Resolution — Once confirmed, we correct the issue. Content corrections are made directly on the page. Material factual corrections are noted in accordance with our Editorial Standards.
- Follow-up — If you've provided your email address, we'll let you know when the issue has been resolved.
For complex issues that require more time to investigate, we'll provide an interim update.
Our Corrections Policy
Restaurantica maintains a transparent corrections policy as part of our commitment to editorial integrity:
- Minor corrections (typos, formatting, minor clarifications) are made directly and do not require a correction notice.
- Significant factual corrections (incorrect details, inaccurate history, misleading claims) are corrected and noted with a brief correction notice on the affected page.
- Major corrections (errors that materially affect the substance of our coverage of a place) are corrected with a prominent correction notice explaining what changed and why.
For full details, see our Editorial Standards.
